Among its lineup, the LM1—a mesh design chosen by drivers for over a decade—has undergone an authentic evolution, revisiting the brand's very origins.
Thus, the LANVEC LMX was born, featuring a fresh new design.
While it retains the mesh style, its aim is a subtle statement. It eschews gimmicks, striving instead to remain a fixture on vehicles for the next decade and beyond.
The LANVEC LMX is defined by a single theme: The Standard.
Standard does not simply mean average.
Think of a standard number in music.
Just like a song that continues to be played long after trends have faded, it represents something that never grows old, no matter how times change.
The enduring popularity of the LM1 over the past decade stands as proof of this.

The development of the LANVEC LMX began with the goal of evolving the original LM1—a model sold for over a decade—to better suit the vehicles that dominate today's market. However, we did not opt for a simple re-release. Instead, we chose to redesign the wheel from scratch, incorporating insights gained over the past ten years to create a product perfectly suited to the vehicles on the road today. That is how the LANVEC LMX was born.
【Upholding the Brand Philosophy: LANVEC Returns to Normcore】
Normcore was a key concept for LANVEC at the time of its inception—a philosophy of actively choosing timeless staples rather than seeking the unconventional.
By not chasing trends, one avoids being left behind by them.
The LANVEC LMX marks a return to this fundamental origin.

The LANVEC LMX features a 10-point mesh design.
With 10 spokes paired with 5 lug holes, the spoke junctions align harmoniously toward the center, creating wide, open spaces along the outer rim.
The more visibility there is through the wheel, the lighter and more agile it appears—even at the same size.
Conversely, a mesh design with fewer intersection points can sometimes look a bit insubstantial.
The 10-spoke configuration maintains a sense of visual density that complements even large-bodied vehicles, effectively accentuating the car's stance.

Any mesh design looks slender when viewed from an angle; the real challenge lies in the head-on view.
On the original LM1, the ridge line situated just below the spoke surface extended all the way to the rim edge.
Because this line was visible from the front, the spokes appeared slightly thicker.
The LANVEC LMX features a design where this ridge line fades out before reaching the end.
By tapering off the line as it approaches the tip—leaving only the surface—the visual impression of the spoke changes dramatically when viewed head-on.

The width of the machined surface is a critical detail that directly impacts the precision of the wheel's form.
For the LANVEC LMX, we pushed this dimension even further than our internal design standards, striving for the absolute thinnest possible tip.
Imagine walking straight toward your car in a parking lot.
Those fractions of a millimeter were meticulously refined with exactly that viewing angle in mind.

We narrowed the center cap down to a 60mm diameter.
This freed up space, allowing the spokes to be set at a steeper, deeper angle.
The depth contrast is noticeably more pronounced than in the original model, creating a distinct play of shadow when viewed from an angle.
Even when stationary, the wheel exudes a sense of deep, sculpted dimension.
This interplay of light and shadow becomes even more striking as the wheel diameter increases.
In contrast, the 18-inch version takes on a slightly more subdued look due to the necessary clearance for brake calipers.
In other words, the 18-inch model presents a refined, understated face, while the 20- and 21-inch models feature a deeply sculpted, bold look. The wheel's character shifts depending on the size.

A WORK acrylic chrome ornament is used for the center cap.
Black is the standard color.
Red and silver options are also available.
It subtly inscribes the WORK lineage within the LANVEC brand.
A small detail, yet a change made with clear intent.

■ Amber Gold (ABG)
A gold shade developed specifically for the LANVEC LMX.
Compared to the gold used on the LM1, this version features richer reddish undertones and a finer metallic grain, creating a finish that shifts in appearance depending on the angle of the light.
You can't really experiment with color if the design itself is eccentric.
This is a bold, striking color that works precisely because the design leans into a classic, standard aesthetic.

The LANVEC LMX is available in a wide range of sizes, spanning 18, 19, 20, and 21 inches with rim widths from 7.0J to 12.5J.
Its 2-piece construction allows for custom inset orders down to the millimeter. In addition to standard options, a broad range of custom inset settings is available.
Suitable for vehicles ranging from minivans—such as the Alphard and Vellfire—to SUVs.
The design meets the demand for that "last few millimeters" of perfect fitment.
The following sizes meet the JWL-P815KG (passenger vehicle standard):

20-inch FULL REVERSE
21-inch REVERSE (STEP RIM)

The changes made to the LANVEC LMX may seem minor when viewed individually:
adding a single intersection point, tapering off a ridge line, or slightly reducing the size of the center cap.
Yet, every one of these adjustments serves a single purpose.
To ensure that a design enjoyed for over a decade remains a choice for the decade to come.
Typically, one can only discover if a design will stand the test of time after purchasing it.
In this case, however, the answer has already been provided by the customers who chose it and drove with it over the past ten years.
Avoiding the temptation of mere novelty is the greatest challenge of all.
By facing that challenge head-on, the LANVEC LMX has established itself as a new "standard"—
a wheel destined to remain a fixture on minivans and SUVs for years to come.
