Team Mitsubishi Ralliart achieves a historic feat with the Triton pickup truck—equipped with WORK CRAG T-GRABIC II MC+ wheels—securing the first-ever AXCR overall victory and consecutive wins for a Japanese duo.
At the 31st Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR2026)—held from August 9 to 15 across a course of approximately 2,000 km in Thailand—the "Triton" driven by TEAM MITSUBISHI RALLIART and equipped with WORK WHEELS achieved a magnificent overall victory!

WORK Co., Ltd. supplied wheels to the following teams and drivers, supporting their efforts in this grueling rally from the ground up:

◆ TEAM MITSUBISHI RALLIART (3 Mitsubishi Tritons)
Katsuhiko Taguchi / Takahiro Yasui (Overall Winners)
Chayapon Yotha / Peerapong Sombatwong
Kazuto Koide / Eiji Chiba

◆ Team takuma-gp (1 Toyota Fortuner)
Takuma Aoki / Ittipon Simarak / Songwut Danpipattrakorn

◆ CUSCO Racing (2 Mitsubishi Tritons)
Hiroshi Yanagisawa / Naoki Kase
Akira Bamba / Megumi Fujita

■ TEAM MITSUBISHI RALLIART (Overall Winners)
Aiming for a second consecutive overall victory following last year's win, TEAM MITSUBISHI RALLIART fielded three "Triton" competition vehicles. Navigating a course defined by the harsh conditions unique to Southeast Asia—including mountainous terrain, dense forests, muddy tracks, and river crossings—the vehicles demonstrated exceptional build quality and performance, having been thoroughly refined through extensive pre-event durability testing.
The vehicles were fitted with "CRAG T-GRABIC II MC+" 17-inch aluminum wheels, which deliver the high rigidity and durability required for off-road driving. Demonstrating stable performance across a diverse range of terrains, the duo of Katsuhiko Taguchi and Takahiro Yasui (Car No. 106) secured a magnificent overall victory—a historic achievement marking the first time a Japanese pair has won the AXCR overall! Additionally, the teams of Chayapon Yotha/Peerapong Sombutwong and Kazuto Koide/Eiji Chiba successfully completed the grueling rally, playing a pivotal role in achieving the team's long-held dream of consecutive victories.

■ Team takuma-gp
Competing in a Toyota Fortuner, Takuma Aoki—alongside Ittipon Simarak and Songwut Danpipattarakorn—conquered a challenging course amidst extremely tough conditions, including a broken air conditioner that turned the cabin into a furnace and a hellish environment of swirling dust. On the final day (LEG 6/DAY 6), the team started 14th overall but staged a furious charge, overtaking five vehicles in a spectacular display of speed.
Navigating this race of survival, they drove flawlessly—avoiding impacts, punctures, and mechanical issues—to successfully reach the final finish line in Phitsanulok.

■ CUSCO Racing
CUSCO Racing entered two Mitsubishi Tritons, driven by the pairings of Hiroshi Yanagisawa/Naoki Kase and Akira Bamba/Megumi Fujita. Battling through approximately 2,000 km of grueling competition under extreme conditions, the team united to race across the landscape of Southeast Asia.

The fact that these teams' vehicles performed so impressively and reached the finish line safely in one of the world's toughest rallies serves as a testament to the high reliability and durability of WORK WHEELS. A huge congratulations to all the drivers, co-drivers, and team members who engaged in such a fierce competition!
