SUPER GT is Japan’s premier grand touring car racing series and the country’s top-level motorsport championship. Established in 2005 as an FIA-sanctioned international series, it continues the legacy of the All Japan GT Championship (JGTC) while attracting global attention. Its hallmark is the “mixed-class format,” where GT500 and GT300 cars compete on the same track simultaneously, creating thrilling battles of speed and strategy that keep fans on the edge of their seats.

Races range from 250km to 800km in semi-endurance format, with two drivers per car alternating stints. Drivers must manage tire wear, fuel, and interactions with different-class cars, making strategy as crucial as speed. Balance of Performance (BoP) adjustments, including success ballast and restrictors, ensure close competition and maintain championship suspense through the season.

GT500 features factory-backed cars from Toyota (Lexus), Nissan, and Honda, showcasing cutting-edge technology at high speeds. GT300 includes a mix of JAF-GT and FIA-GT cars, allowing privateer and amateur teams to participate. Unique team presentations, such as anime-themed liveries and collaborations, add an extra layer of entertainment for spectators.
